Located between the states of Virginia and Maryland on the
north bank of the Potomac River, Washington, D.C., is the capital city of the
United States. The city is houses the all three branches of the federal government,
as well as the White House, the Supreme Court and the Capitol Building. The
opulent city offers so many sightseeing and touring spots that you will never
lack for choices. Especially for the history buffs, the sprawling city is a
promised land.

Some of the other prominent landmarks include the Newseum,
Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, National World War II
Memorial, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, Basilica of
the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Smithsonian National Museum
of Natural History, National Portrait Gallery, Washington National Cathedral
etc.
The best places to relish some delicious meals include
Ambar, Bar Dupont, The Capital Grille, Zaytinya and Blue Duck Tavern. For the fans of Indian
cuisine, Rasika West End at the New Hampshire Avenue is the perfect spot.
The best time to visit the US capital is considered from
September to November and March to May. But travelling during this period can
be a bit expensive as the flight fares and hotel tariffs are at their peak as
this happens to be the high seasons for the affluent city. I though managed to
save few bucks using Lookupfare. They compared the flight rates over numerous
airlines and got me the best deal with
quality flying experience and thus helped to check my budget. I would
highly recommend Lookupfare to everyone planning
a Washington Dc trip.
